Delia Owens gives us a beautiful story of a girl growing up in the marshes off the Carolina coast. Kya goes through the struggles of womanhood, abuse, and love with the help of the creatures who inhabit the marsh.

One of my all time favorite books for sure. Growing up on the marsh I closely connected to many parts of the book, and learned to appreciate my home more. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. A 10/10!!! And if you're debating on seeing the movie or reading the book first... read the book first:)
