A Book That Will Leave You Yelling At The Universe- If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin

Trending right now on "Book Tok," I decided to give another romance book a try. This book had me sucked in from the get-go, which resulted in me finishing the book in three days. I could not get enough.

This book is all about "what ifs," missed chances and what they might have been, and raw, authentic love that can result in regret or forever happiness. Spoken through the perspective of a teenage girl, Autumn, who experiences the downs and lows of being a teenage girl. Often as I was reading, the popular Tik Tok sound, "Hell is a teenage girl," would play through my head. Overall, the book is a heart rendering tale that will leave you speechless and screaming at the Universe "why?!"

This book is deserving of more than a 5/5 because I so strongly connected with Autumn in this book, maybe because I am a teenage girl, or maybe because she was so personable to connect with. I highly recommend this book to all, because in the end it is a beautifully written story, which did in fact leave me with a swollen face from crying. I am looking forward to the sequel, If Only I Had Told Her, which is expected to come out on October 3, 2023! I hope it can live up to the high standards of this book!
